Bike Ride from Manali to Jispa (150km)
Gear up for your first day of Ladakh biking trip as you will be receiving your bikes this morning! Rumble up the engines of your Royal Enfield bikes and hit the road to reach the Rohtang Pass at an elevation of 3,978m. While on the road, you can expect an array of challenges; starting from unfavourable road conditions to unpredictable weather conditions!
Riding through the rugged and challenging terrains, you will reach the scenic Lahaul Valley where you can witness and enjoy the astounding views of the snow-clad peaks all around! After arriving in Jispa, unwind your riding gears and call it your first day of bike tour to Ladakh, and feast on steamed momos and thukpa; thukpa is a local soup made by mixing vegetables and meat.
Ride from Jispa – Pang (150km)
Starting with today’s bike ride, you will be riding through the locales of the Greater Himalayas; enjoy the fascinating views while riding through these regions. Riding further, you will reach the Bara Lacha Pass (5,000m) followed by Sarchu which is tucked away in the borderline of Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir.
Riding further from Sarchu, you will reach a vicinity that showcases different natural formations. Moving ahead, you will finally reach the campsite in Pang, settle down within the camp and retire for the day!
Ride from Pang – Leh (150km)
Buckle up yourself as today will be one of the most challenging day of your Ladakh Bike Trip from Manali! Starting with the ride for the day, you will be riding through the flatlands and advance towards the horizon of mountain ranges. Here onwards, you will be riding through the Tanglang La Pass that stands at an elevation of 5,300m and is revered as the second highest motorable pass in the world.
Post this pass, you will get to ride through well-maintained roads till Leh; en route, you can witness the Thiksey and Shey monasteries. Arriving in Leh, you will be checked-in into a hotel, where you can spend the rest of the day at total leisure.
Today, you will get a break from your bike riding schedules, and will get to explore the magical beauty of Leh with a local sightseeing tour on foot. On the list, there will be attractions like Old Fort and other prominent landmarks of the city; overnight stay will be arranged at the hotel.
Ride from Leh – Pangong Tso Lake (149mk)
Ride of this day will be one of the most memorable experiences throughout this Ladakh biking tour! Starting from Leh, today’s ride will take you through the Chang La Pass (5,500m), and will finally take you to the magnificent Pangong Tso Lake which flows through India and China. Arriving at the lakeside, you will be checked-in a resort for your overnight stay.
Ride from Pangong Tso Lake – Leh (149km)
Waking up in the morning, start your engines and start riding back to Leh; this will be the last day of biking in Leh! Arriving in the city, you can spend the day either at total rest or take out time to explore the local market places and witness the local cultures and traditions at their best; overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Ride from Leh – Sarchu (215km)
Today’s ride will follow the trails that brought you to Leh; while on the way, you will get to witness Pang before you reach Sarchu. Tucked away between Manali and Leh, Sarchu is one of the most sought after destinations for most of the biking tours in Ladakh. Arriving in Sarchu, you will be checked-in into a campsite for your overnight stay.
Ride from Sarchu – Manali (215km)
As you wake up in the morning, get freshened up and hit the plain roads from Sarchu and advance towards the Baralacha plans till afternoon. Today’s ride will be one of the smoothest ride; till Lahaul Ranges, after which the terrains will get a bit challenging. Rohtang Pass will play an important role for you to reach Manali. Completing around 215km ride on this day, you will finally reach Manali; overnight stay will be arranged in Manali.
