The Kedarnath trek is a spiritual and adventurous journey that leads to one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India, the Kedarnath Temple. Nestled in the lap of the majestic Garhwal Himalayas in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, this trek is not only a test of physical endurance but also an opportunity to soak in the breathtaking natural beauty and spirituality that the region has to offer.

The temple is located in the Garhwal Himalayan range of Uttarakhand, India. Before 2013 there was an old route that passed from Rambada, but due to the massive flash floods, this route got destroyed and now not accessible for the trek. Hence a new route is now formed to reach Kedarnath temple.

The pinnacle of the Kedarnath trek is the Kedarnath Temple itself, perched at an elevation of approximately 3,583 meters (11,755 feet). The temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is believed to be one of the twelve Jyotirlingas (divine representations of Lord Shiva) and holds immense spiritual significance for Hindus. Pilgrims often endure the challenging trek as a display of their devotion and to seek blessings from the divine.
